Complete Guide: Step-by-Step Application Process for OTET 2026

1. Registration (New User)

To begin your application, visit the official portal and click on New Registration. You will need to provide the following details:

• Full Name: Enter exactly as it appears on your 10th-grade certificate.
• Date of Birth: Use the provided calendar to select the date matching your 10th-grade certificate.
• Mobile Number: Provide a valid, active 10-digit number.
• Email ID: Provide an active email address you check regularly.
• Password: Create a secure password with a minimum of 5 characters.
• Confirmation: Re-enter your details to confirm, complete the CAPTCHA, and click Register to proceed to the login page.

2. Account Login

Once registered, log in to access your application dashboard. Enter your registered Email ID or Mobile Number, input your Password, solve the CAPTCHA, and click Login.

3. The Application Form (4 Steps)

The main application consists of four sequential steps. Ensure you have your documents ready before starting.

Step 1: Eligibility Details

Select your Training Status, the Paper you are opting for (Paper I or Paper II), and your Qualification level. If applicable, choose your Optional Subject (for Paper II) and your Language for MIL. Click Save & Next.

Step 2: Personal Details

• Personal Information: Enter the Applicant’s Name, Father’s Name, and Mother’s Name. Your DOB will be auto-filled. Select your Gender, Caste Category, PwD Status, and Applicant Category.
• Permanent Address: Select your Village/Town type and provide your Block/Municipality, District, Address (AT), Post Office, and Pincode.
• Correspondence Address: Choose "Same as permanent" if applicable, or fill in the new address details separately. Click Save & Next.

Step 3: Qualification Details

• General Qualification: Enter your 10+2 (Higher Secondary) Subjects, Board, Max Marks, Marks Secured, Percentage, and Division. Do the same for Graduation and Post Graduation if applicable.
• Professional Qualification: If applicable, provide your Exam Name (D.El.Ed, B.Ed, etc.), Method Subject, Institution Name, Affiliation (NCTE/RCI), University/Board, and your marks breakdown.
• Document Uploads: Upload your recent Photo (JPG/PNG, 10–40 KB), your Signature (JPG/PNG, 10–40 KB), and any required Certificates (JPG/PNG/PDF).

Step 4: Preview & Final Submission

Carefully review all entered details on the preview screen. If you need to make changes, click Back to Edit. Once you are certain everything is accurate, click Final Submit.

4. Payment Process

After submitting your form, proceed to the payment gateway. Select your preferred payment mode (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI) and complete the transaction securely.

5. Download & Print

For your personal records and future reference, make sure to download and print both your completed Application Form and your Payment Receipt.
